Networking for Modern Events

Reliable, secure, and high-performance networking is no longer optional—it’s fundamental to the success of modern events. Whether delivering audio and video over IP, providing resilient internet access for attendees, supporting live streaming, or enabling temporary production offices, a well-designed network underpins everything.

At Technical Theatre Services, we design and deploy networks that prioritise stability, security, and performance, ensuring your event runs without interruption.

IP Audio & Video Delivery

From near real-time protocols like AVB through to the high bandwidth demands of SMPTE 2110, professional AV is rapidly moving onto IP networks—and it’s here to stay.

While enterprise solutions are often complex and costly, they don’t have to be. We specialise in delivering practical, scalable, and cost-effective AV networking solutions tailored to the entertainment industry.

Whether it’s a temporary deployment for a one-day event or a permanent installation, Technical Theatre Services can design, install, and support IP-based audio and video networks of any size—with a focus on reliability and ease of operation.

Event Wi-Fi

Every event today depends on reliable internet access—whether for attendees, production teams, or as a core part of the event experience itself.

Event Wi-Fi is often overpromised and underdelivered when environmental and usage factors aren’t properly considered. We take a different approach.

At Technical Theatre Services, we carefully plan and deploy Wi-Fi networks to ensure:

  • Consistent coverage across the entire venue
  • Sufficient bandwidth for peak demand
  • Built-in redundancy to handle unexpected load or failures

The result is a stable and seamless user experience, even in challenging RF environments.

Bonded Internet

Having a backup internet connection is one thing—ensuring a seamless transition when something fails is another.

Bonded internet combines multiple connections into a single, resilient link. This provides:

  • True redundancy with no noticeable failover interruption
  • Increased total bandwidth by aggregating multiple links
  • Improved reliability for critical services like live streaming

Without bonding, a failover event can interrupt a live stream for up to 60 seconds. With bonding, the transition is effectively seamless—keeping your broadcast live and uninterrupted.

Technical Theatre Services operates its bonding infrastructure via AWS, enabling low-latency performance globally. We can combine up to six independent internet connections, delivering multiple layers of redundancy and maximising available bandwidth for even the most demanding events.
